Archgoat : The very dark side of Finland

Black Metal changed, Archgoat did not…

Archgoat formed in 1989 in Turku, Finland. From the beggining they were openly identify with the Satanism and the Occult.

First demo unleashed in 1991, called “Jesus Spawn”. In 1992 an unholy alliance forged with Necropolis Records and in 1993 the “Angelcunt (Tales Of Desecration)” MLP was released. Later that year Archgoat entered the studio to record a full length release.

However, after a disagreement with terms of the contract for the full length, they refused to release it to the public. Also they decided that they do not belong in a commercial Black Metal scene of those days.

2004 : Archgoat continue the black crusade

The horns raised again with the release of the “Angelslaying Black Fucking Metal” ep through Hammer Of Hate Records.

2005 : The first live Black Mass

The first live Black Mass after a decade, has been perfomed in Koulova, Finland with one replacement at the original line-up. Leneth the Unholy Carnager replaced Blood Desecrator, as session drummer. Finaly Leneth replaced by Sinisterror.

Also in 2005, the black crusaders, invated Europe with Behexen and Hell Militia on the “Tour Of The Black Moon”.

2006 : Whore Of Bethlehem

Gathering the pure black energy of their earlier 90’s hymns, Archgoat went to the Temple of the Black Moon to create their debut full-length LP “Whore Of Bethlehem” via Hammer Of Hate Records.

However, after the CD release, Archgoat decided to to part ways with Hammer Of Hate.

2007 : “Desecration & Sodomy” European tour

The onward march to preach the Black hymns took form in 2007 with Black Witchery in the form of the “Desecration & Sodomy” tour, which stormed with dark spirit, 9 venues in Europe.

2009: “The Light-Devouring Darkness”

The beggining of 2009 saw the release of their second full-length LP. Also the same year saw the first black march over the USA and Mexico under the banner of “The Light-Devouring Black Crusade”.

At last, Blasphemous Underground Productions quits and an unholy pact till death sealed with Debemur Morti Productions.

2010 : Two decades of devil worship : Archgoat anniversary

2010 saw the release of a double vinyl consisting material from all the previous releases as well as unreleased hymns, all in one with title “The Aeon Of The Angelslaying Darkness”. At 2011 the MLP titled “Heavenly Vulva (Christ’s Last Rites)” unleashed from the Temple of Black Moon.

2015 : The Apocalyptic Triumphator

2018 : The Luciferian Crown

2018 saw the release of their satanic “The Luciferian Crown” opus., the second full length under Debemur Morti. A testament to what Black Metal should be, bestial, unrelenting and unholy.

2020 : Black Mass XXX

2020 saw the release of their “Black Mass XXX” live album. The recorded concert in Paris 2019, was part of Archgoat’s 30 year anniversary gig series.

2021 : Worship The Eternal Darkness

Archgoat’s fifth album is, once again, a unique synthesis of occult Finnish Black/Death Metal, harsh Punk, primal Thrash and Grindcore. With this release Archgoat will cement their well-earned reputation for being one of the most consistent bands the scene has ever seen.
